This Cream is Like a Post-Workout Cocktail for Sore Muscles

Have you ever looked at the ingredient label of your Icy Hot or Biofreeze before? A lot of chemical action going on in those go-to muscle creams or gel products. Methyl Salicylate… Emulsifying Wax… Triethanolamine… Hazardous Mumbo… Toxic Jumbo… The list goes on. Sure, you may have read a blog about using it to get through training for your first marathon. Or maybe one of your parents uses a topical relief product on their aching joints. The problem is, most of those active chemicals are all scored and classified in the moderately hazardous to hazardous. So, we decided to do something about it…

Meet: Maximum Strength Hot Cream

We wanted to create a product that could offer the same benefits of previous muscle creams, without the harsh chemicals. So our team researched botanicals, experimented with essential oils, and developed a formula that achieves serious pain relief and muscle relaxation. It even has the tingly, icy-warm sensation familiar to those products.

Now that I’ve introduced you to your new favorite post-workout product, I’m sure you’ve got questions. Let’s see if I can tap into my intuition and answer them before you even have to ask!

What are the active ingredients?

Believe it or not, one of the core ingredients comes from chili peppers! Capsaicin, which is an active component of chili peppers is one of the elements that makes our Hot Cream so effective. We also created the perfect blend of over 12 essential oils, each with their own therapeutic benefits which help alleviate common sources of pain like inflammation, tension, and even poor blood circulation.

Each ingredient in this formula has a specific purpose. Raise your hand if you like knowing WHY ingredients are in the product… Well, my hand is raised, so I’m guessing yours might be too. So here’s a quick breakdown of the active elements and the plant-powered benefits they provide:

Capsaicin: known for its ability to soothe sprained, strained, and sore muscles

Menthol Crystals and Spearmint Oil: elements that cool and soothe your skin

Organic Aloe Leaf Juice and Meadowfoam Seed Oil: provide essential hydration that sinks deep below your skin’s surface

Rosemary, Cinnamon, Pink Grapefruit, and Pine Needle Oil: essential oils that help reduce muscle inflammation and are known to increase blood circulation

Peppermint, Sweet Basil and Juniper Berry Oil: these oils help to calm your mind and agitated muscles

Eucalyptus, Chamomile, Lemongrass, Ginger Root, Wild Oregano, and Madagascan Ravensara Oil: essential oils that aid in relieving deep rooted pain

The label says maximum strength. If I have sensitive skin, can I use it?

There are some misconceptions out there that products using natural ingredients are not as effective as their chemical-based alternatives. But this could not be further from the truth. Our Hot Cream is a prime example of that, and also why we make sure to provide as much awareness about its potent ingredients. If you know you have sensitive skin, we honestly do not recommend using our Hot Cream, but if you’re unsure, always test on a small patch of skin. The reason for that is because we know it’s a Maximum Strength formula, with strong botanicals and essential oils that can be too intense or cause irritation on sensitive skin.

If I use it often, will I build up a resistance?

After a tough workout, an unexpected injury, or even on-going pain, we often have a go-to outlet for pain-relief. You may have even created a pain-relief routine that formed over time through trial and error. Some measures we take, like taking pain pills for example, can become less effective if we rely on them too much over time. However, other actions, like icing a swollen ankle, is always going to be effective when following the proper recommendations/instructions. Using Hot Cream would fall under this category, where if you use it as needed, and follow the directions, you should not build up a resistance.

Can I use this Hot Cream while pregnant?

If you are pregnant, or think you might be pregnant, please check with your healthcare professional before using this product.

So there you have it friends — a behind the scenes look at our new Hot Cream. We’re really excited for you to try it, and hear your feedback! As always, if you have any questions at all, reach out to us!
