Once considered sacred in southern Africa, the marula tree was linked to fertility and happy marriage in ancient times. Today, it may be the secret to perfect skin. Pure Body Naturals Marula Oil is wild harvested and cold pressed from the kernels of marula tree fruit.

Our Marula Oil is moisturizing, but it won't clog your pores. It is rich in fatty acids that closely mimic those that naturally exist on the outer layer of skin, and it contains antioxidants Vitamin C, Vitamin E and flavonoids that protect your skin from damage. And -- because of our refining process -- it has a light, non-greasy texture that is absorbed quickly, leaving a glowing complexion and softer, smoother skin.

Our Marula Oil is wild harvested, cold-pressed, and refined. Virgin Marula Oil and Unrefined Marula Oil can be a little too heavy due to the extra components in the kernels (gums, colorants, waxes, etc.), which are not desirable because they result in a slightly greasy residue common in many facial oils. Our Marula Oil is refined, giving it a light, non-greasy texture that is absorbed quickly by your skin.

I'm not sure if they make it differently or something. Compared to The Ordinary, I think The Ordinary's Marula oil works better. However, Pure Body Naturals Marula oil does moisturize your face, but I can't give it 5 stars because it really smells like pencil shavings!

This oil is really great! It's a bit tricky to put on my skin and let it soak in by itself. Rubbing it in doesn't work either, but even when I tried that, it's just too hard to deal with on its own. So, I mixed the Marula oil with olive oil, using 2 parts Marula and 1 part Olive, and it's much easier to put on my skin. The results are amazing! My skin feels so soft and moisturized. I've been looking for a long time for something to moisturize my skin, and this oil is definitely the one! I wouldn't recommend just putting it on your face and going about your day. It's better to use it when you're planning to stay indoors for a few hours and let it soak in.
